Norbert Racskó
Norbert Racskó is a tech entrepreneur and language lover based in Geneva, Switzerland.
He was born in Hungary to a Hungarian father and a German mother and grew up speaking German with his mother. Despite his German mum and speaking six languages, he still struggled with the German articles.
He spent a lot of time analysing the German vocabulary quantitatively and then presenting the findings in a fun way, using the ‘Zoo of Rules’ concept in a mobile app that has gathered more than 80,000 downloads and won the prestigious ‘Best Mobile App’ award in Switzerland in 2019. Following the immense success of the app, he decided to create the most fun German grammar book about the correct use of der, die, das.
Fortunately, his co-author, Dr Jürgen Hase, joined him to make the book as much fun as possible.

Dr Jürgen Hase
Dr Jürgen Hase has a postgraduate degree in German linguistics from the prestigious Hasenberg University. Being born with three ears made him realise that getting the right article out of the three possible options is a major challenge for every German language learner. He was the smartest among his 187 siblings, so he quickly specialised in German linguistics, particularly the correct use of der, die, das. He was thrilled when he learned about the opportunity to contribute to this book and share his lifelong learnings on every rule. In his little spare time, he is also well known as an upcoming stand-up comedian. He lives with his wife, Bella, and their 78 children in a hole in the ground.
